Following on from her week in residence at the Towner last year in connection with her show - Art, Life and Us: Christine Binnie, Jennifer Binnie and the Towner Collection - Christine will be our first artist in residence in Studio 3.
Christine will be exploring some new ideas and taking the opportunity to throw large pieces on the specially adapted wheel that can take batts up to 1m in diameter!
We have created this space especially for ceramicists who want to explore working in new ways and for artists or designers who may not have used clay before to experiment with the material.
We set the pottery up in 2017 as a centre for shared learning and being able to host artists in residence is a fantastic opportunity for everyone at the studio to be inspired.
