Coiled majolica head

Made over several workshops these heads started out as coiled pots that morphed into heads when the artists added texture and sculpted features.  Standing 30 cm high they have been decorated using the majolica technique of painting cobalt oxide on to a tin glaze, the technique used to create Delft tiles.

The sale of ceramics made by the Hive group of neurodiverse artists will support the activities of Eastbourne Mencap.
