This bird is made by pouring earthenware casting slip onto plaster batts that the artists painted with underglaze colours. The artists selected areas of the pattern with coils of clay to contain the slip. When the slip dried the sections were carefully removed and joined together before firing and glazing.
This bird can be hung on a wall with the attached fixing.
The sale of ceramics made by the Hive group of neurodiverse artists will support the activities of Eastbourne Mencap.
